The Minister of Forestry and Wildlife informs the public that a security operation carried out in Faro National Park, as part of the mechanism to combat wildlife crime, resulted in a confrontation with heavily armed individuals engaged in poaching activities within this transboundary protected area. This operation, conducted by the Conservation Service with the support of the defense and security forces, led to an exchange of gunfire.
