Representing the Minister, the Secretary General, Mr. Joseph Nyongwen presided the 29th August graduation ceremony at the courtyard of the school in Mbalmayo.
In his speech, the Secretary General described the institution as an emblematic one with educational and environmental heritage and, for more than 75 years, has trained a host of skilled professionals who actively contribute to the development of the forestry sector. He also offered his sincere condolences to the families, friends, and mentors of the two students who lost their lives during their training. He equally pointed out that in the current context of Cameroon's emergence process, it should be remembered that education, vocational training, and the development of our natural resources are at the heart of the political project led by the President of the Republic, His Excellency PAUL BIYA.
The first assistant mayor of Mbalmayo council on her part welcomed all in her municipality and expressed gratitude for fact that the school has maintained its standards over the years, giving pride to the town of Mbalmayo. She however used the opportunity to appeal to the government to grant more investment for the maintenance, modernization, and even expansion of the school, which is a benchmark in training and professional integration policy, in line with the vision of the President of the Republic of Cameroon.
In an earlier address, the Student Union President congratulated her peers, parents, and staff of the school for their joint efforts in seeing them through their training, while urging her classmates to act with passion and professionalism while on the field.
