An FAO delegation led by the newly appointed Resident Representative, Mr. Antonio Luis QUERIDO was received in audience by the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife on Tuesday July 15, 2025, in the conference room of the ministerial building N°2.
During this courtesy visit, both personalities discussed on certain objectives of the missions and roadmap of MINFOF. These include working to strengthen MINFOF/FAO cooperation, contributing to forest conservation, and promoting reconciliation between the exploitation of forest resources and development among others.
With regard to the roadmap, key sectors such as cocoa-culture, sustainable wildlife management including the management of human/wildlife conflicts, and the zoonosis disease sector have been identified and will constitute the fields of action for his stay in Cameroon.
At the end of the audience, the Minister reassured his guests that his Ministry, which already enjoys beneficial cooperation with the FAO, remains open to exchanges for improved collaboration.
